All fall sports present (basketball, football, cheerleading, dance) Main premise: Rewards and dancing With the winter thawing away, the seasons are coming to a change. Let's commemorate some of our athletic scholars who worked tirelessly during our Fall semester.
On the 24th, a Winter Sports Banquet occurred, where all of our athletic scholars for the Fall Semester celebrated their accomplishments. Some of the sports that will be on display are basketball, football, cheerleading, and wrestling to name a few. This banquet holds high importance to the individuals that were invited to come to it, for the accomplishments that they achieved through their sport.
The banquet served as both a reminder for each individual as to what they achieved, and a realization that for some, it was the last time they played their sport in high school.
Ashiya Hosely, a cheerleader who was invited to the banquet, earned her awards and has gone on record saying that, although she will miss the friends she made, she is excited about the upcoming 2022-2023 season, and she is looking forward to her future ahead.
Another individual of notice that went to the banquet is Tatiyanna Travis, who is a member of the swim team. When interviewed, Travis said she was going to miss her teammates as well as Hosley, but was also feeling good about graduation as she held her head as high as her teammates would hold it.
As the month comes to an end, we got the chance to celebrate the achievements of our sportsmen and sportswomen through the Winter Sports Banquet. Although the majority of these nominees were not mentioned, they served vital roles during the sports that were present, which were wrestling, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, and football. With March closing its window, may these people be remembered for their great accomplishments and efforts they put into bringing morrow this far into the future where everyone will be proud of what the sporting side of the school brings to furthering our school's reputation.
